INRA
Pharmacology and Toxicology experts

Ranked the number one agricultural institute in Europe and number two in the world, INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) carries out mission-oriented research for better food and nutrition, preservation of the environment and competitive, sustainable agricultural practices. It comprises approximately 10,000 researchers, engineers, technicians and administrative staff and is divided into 14 scientific divisions located in 21 regional centres.

The INRA laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology is located in Toulouse and belongs to the recently created Toxicology research center (50 permanent scientists). This research center aims at improving the food quality for a better health of animals and humans. Research at the INRA laboratory of Pharmacology-Toxicology involves both general pharmacology and food safety (especially drug and xenobiotics residues). The laboratory has more than 25 years experiences in the mycotoxin field and the different members of the staff have an established international reputation in mycotoxicology and immunology. The laboratory posses animal facilities for rodents and large animals, especially pigs, and is fully equipped with state of the art instrumentation for all molecular techniques, cell culture, immunological and biochemical assays.
